Apple pulls iPad game
"Iron Sky"
Apple has had an unlicensed iPad game from its iTunes stores worldwide following the producers of approaching Nazis-on-the-moon spoof, "Iron Sky," were not impressed with copyright violation. The creative team behind the Finnish-German-Australian dark sci-fi comedy complained to Apple after finding an iPad game according to their film. "The overall game was released underneath the title from the film and used the rear story, the tagline as well as some space ship and actor similarities obtained from 'Iron Sky's' marketing material," spokesperson Janos Honkonen stated Friday. "The creator of the overall game, Ziiso, wasn't licensed to make use of these intellectual qualities."Apple drawn the overall game 2 days after it had been approached by producers who demonstrated they possessed the copyright.Timo Vuorensola, director from the $tens of millions of, part fan-funded film, added, "We're pleased with how rapidly Apple responded to the complaint, which our fans will not be fooled to delivering money for this company any longer, convinced that their contribution will let us get this to film.""Iron Sky," he added, does "pioneering operate in crowd funding and crowdsourcing" using more than 10% from the film's budget originating from fans via opportunities, merchandise sales and fan service monthly subscriptions. The film is within publish production and due for release in April. Contact the range newsroom at news@variety.com
